Frozen...

The word was frozen so did I draw the image of the people in the snow with the trees that I've been thinking about for a couple of weeks. No that would make too much sense.
Instead I get it in my head to draw Medusa and a man she has frozen. She looks pretty pleased with herself. Maybe that's how she makes her art. My little preppy Medusa with her friendly snake hair.

  1. This is WONDERFUL! Very creative and yes, she is quite the charmer. I like the composition and various textures a lot!

  2. Thank you. I spent a lot of time thinking about Medusa, and how she'd like to be portrayed. In myths she's tragic, sometimes a beautiful maiden cursed, always so sad that no one can look upon her.

I thought about how she might actually enjoy her power in the begining. It might please her to have a statue garden of handsome warriors. Before she grew sad and filled with hate. This Medusa dreams of blind friends who like snakes.

Thank you! I had fun with this week's theme.

  3. I've never thought of Medusa that way (I sometimes do astronomy shows and because of that end up concentrating on Persus's side of the story). What a great take on the prompt.
