Blur...

A lot of things blur at the amusement park... not the least of which is your vision. But amusement parks historically have blurred all sorts of lines. Rich and poor, young and old all seek the heady thrill of a rollercoaster.

The scrambler was one of my favorites. We would carefully arrange ourselves in line to make sure when we sat down, the biggest wouldn't crush the smallest, and you might end up pressed against someone you liked. You could blur those lines without questions.

  3. Thank you both for your kind words!

The Scarmbler is still a staple of carnivals, fairs and amusement parks across the land.

The dapper characters were inspired by my Grandfather's stories of when he was young and you didn't really have the same level of physical contact with the opposite sex. He used to be afraid of roller coasters but would ride just them to hold a girl's hand. They always dresses so well and wore hats back then.

  9. Thanks folkis! Thank you for all of your comments and kind words! I did have fun this one, nostalgia is great inspiration. Or it's an pain of an old wound if you talk to Don Draper. The scrambler has always been a ride near and dear to my heart. And like Loni, it's one of the few rides I wont get sick on ;)
