When I thought of focused I immediately thought of magnifying glasses and ants. I thought this image was more of a gentle focus of the sun than the tradition images involving ants and magnifying glasses.

Lovely style! :) Is that the Queen with her royal treatment? :D
ReplyDeleteNice scene!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kinds words!
ReplyDeleteYes that queen ant sure is getting the royal treatment. We should all be treated so well!
Hi Zelda! I love the textures in this! Great idea for this week's prompt! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Loni! I had fun with this one.
ReplyDeleteVery clever changing the magnifying glass idea. I like how you incorporated photo textures.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I LOVE this concept..you are so cool! And I just visited your recent posts...they are so candidly awesome. Love that you "faked" the wilderness and made it "wildernessy"...that is something I'd say..too fun! Great piece, Zelda..it is such a wonderful thing to visit you. Have a great weekend ahead..and I shall be back!
ReplyDeleteThank's Ann Marie, I have fun using textures to set my drawings, although I've been thinking about doing some watercolor again too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Shirley! I appreciate your visits as well as your amazing work!
As for the the wilderness... I take lots of photos at zoos and then I never do anything with them. Most of them aren't great pictures, but I've been trying to use them as reference photos and fixing the images to be great pictures.
Hi Zelda! Love your colorful illustrations! You have a nice style!
ReplyDeleteOh! I was just checking out your other blog, your older and dearest one, and wanted to tell you that I totally love your parent's wedding pic! Absolutely adorable! It would have been another great example of "focused": the lovely couple captured looking at each other!
Best wishes!
Sandra
Thank you Sandra! That would have been a great example of "focused". I always love a good candid photo when the people are completely unaware of the camera. Please don't let anyone else know that a possum has been making my art for me ;)
